CeCe does not takes criticism positively and asks the server Ashton to tell Gordon that there are hungry people in the world and if the dish is supposed to go into the bin, she does not want to cook it. Gordon responds that when she finishes cooking, she can tell it to him herself until then he is here to taste the food. The final order Favorito Del Nonna pizza arrives, it is soggy in the middle and hard from the outside and is bland.

After a terrible lunch, Gordon meets CeCe and tells her the issues with the food. CeCe fights back. CeCe tells Gordon that she does not like when someone berates her food. Gordon asks for Michael as he tasted the food when CeCe confronts Michael, he takes her side. Gordon says, he is unsure what is worst, the food or her attitude.

Despite poor reception earlier, Gordon comes back to the restaurant to notice the dinner service. He starts to ask the question about materials he sees around him, CeCe gets irritated and asks him if they can cook or is he going to keep interfering. Customers start coming into the restaurant, CeCe is as usual agitated. Customers are returning the food, Gordon tries to talk to CeCe but she gets defensive again and she strolls out leaving the line unattended. Michael gets behind the line to serve last few orders, few of customers leave without getting any food.

After the dinner service, Gordon sits down with CeCe and tells her that she needs to admit the wrongdoings and take steps to fix them. Initially, CeCe is reluctant in admitting, later, however, she tells that the food sucks. Gordon tells her that he is here to help her and she needs to understand that. She asks her to go home and take some rest.

The next day, Gordon arrives at the restaurant early and asks the chefs to make one of everything on the menu in next three hours. When CeCe and the staff enter the restaurant, they are shocked to see all the food. Gordon makes it a point to highlight his idea that they have a huge menu. That huge menu leads to delays in the kitchen, higher food costs, and inconsistency. Everyone agrees with his point and Gordon tells them that they need to trim down the menu.

Relaunch:

Gordon’s team gives a makeover to the restaurant overnight, adding a few modern elements to the overall vibe. The owners and the staff are blown away by the decor changes and Cece starts crying again. Then Gordon hands over the menu to the staff, they love it because it is cut down to half and is more suited for the restaurant. Gordon also brings in a restaurant consultant Daniel for one month so he can guide CeCe.

In order to get the word out, Gordon tells them that they will be hosting first ever Anna Vincenzo’s pizza making contest. Three teams competing in the contest are representatives from Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat, and Florida Panthers. Local sportsmen and radio stations are invited to take part and cover the contest. The Miami Dolphins are declared the winner. Daniel and CeCe make the dishes on the menu and shows them to the staff, everyone notices the portion size and love the new menu.

At the dinner service, the restaurant is full of the customers and Chef Daniel is overseeing the line. Due to small portion sizes and small menu, the kitchen sends out initial orders very fast and customers love the new dishes. 30 minutes into the dinner service, specials are over. Chef working on a steak burns it and CeCe abandons the quality and tries to send it out. Gordon refuses to send bad food to customers and asks them to re-do the order. CeCe sticks with what Gordon asks them to do. After a successful relaunch, CeCe thanks Gordon and gives him a hug.

  1. On the US version of Kitchen Nightmares season 3 episode 9 a restaurant called Anna Vincenzo’s was the subject. Was CeCe head chef and proprietor of Anna Vincenzo’s pregnant during the filming of the episode?

    1. Why would you say so? In revisit of this season, she did shed some weight but nothing was mentioned about her being pregnant.
