Bigg Boss Season 5

The fifth season of Bigg Boss aired on Colors Television from 2nd October 2011 to 7th January 2012. For the first time in its history, the show had two hosts. Bollywood actor Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt hosted this edition of the reality show together. There were 14 handpicked housemates in this edition. During the next few weeks, four wild card entrants increased the number of housemates to 18. There were three additional guest entries as well, but guests stayed for a brief interval.

For the location, Karjat, a town between Mumbai and Pune, was chosen as Bigg Boss house. In the fifth edition of Bigg Boss, TV actress and presenter Juhi Parmar finished as the winner.

Pooja Bedi: Pooja Bedi is the daughter of Bollywood actor Kabir Bedi. She is well-known for her role in the movie Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander.
Shakti Kapoor: Born as Sunil Sikanderlal Kapoor on 3rd September 1952, Shakti Kapoor is a famous Bollywood actor who has acted in 600+ movies. He is known for his comic timing and villainous roles in the 90s cinema. Shakti Kapoor has a daughter, Shradhha Kapoor, who is an actress in Bollywood and a son, Sidhanth Kapoor, who is active in Bollywood as well.
Nihitha Biswas: She is the wife of notorious French thief Charles Sobhraj.
Shonali Nagrani: Born 20th December 1983, Shonali, in 2003, won pageant of Miss India International. She went on to become 1st runner up in Miss International 2003. She is also a TV actress and model. She is also an active cricket host with her experience in Champions Trophy, Indian Premiere League & Cricket World Cup coverage in India.
Mandeep Bevli: She is a celebrated news anchor with primary focus on celebrity news and gossip. She was an anchor in Headlines Today, specializing mostly in entertainment-related news.
Shraddha Sharma: Shraddha Sharma is a TV actress and ex-girlfriend of Raja Chaudhary (Bigg Boss 2 runner up)
Mahek Chahal: Mahek is a Norwegian model and actress of Indian origin. She has done many Hindi and regional movies apart from her roles in Indian TV dramas and reality shows. A few of the notable appearances are Chameli, Dil Apna Punjabi, Main Aurr Mrs. Khanna, Yamla Pagla Deewana.
Gulabo Sapera: Gulabo Sapera is a Padma Shri Awardee folk dancer from Rajasthan.
Juhi Parmar: Born on 14th December 1980, Juhi Parmar is an Indian actress, TV host, presenter, singer, and dancer. She has worked in over dozen Hindi TV soaps and dramas. She is well-known for her role as Kumkum in Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan on Star Plus.
Vida Samadzai: Born on 22nd February 1978, Vida is a former Miss Afghanistan, the title that she won in the year 2003. Her participation in the international beauty pageant event created controversy; the argument was that showcasing the female body is against Islamic las and Afghan culture. She was given a special award, "Beauty for a Cause" in Miss Earth competition in 2003.
Pooja Misrra: Pooja Mishra/Misrra is an Indian model and VJ who also appeared in one item song in 2006 Hindi movie 'Mera Dil Leke Dekho'.
Sonika Kaliraman: First Indian woman wrestler to win the title of 'Bharat Kesari' in Bharat Kesari Dangal, Sonika Kaliraman is one of the 50 odd women wrestlers who represent India in international wrestling events. She won a gold medal at the Asian Women Wrestling Championship in 2000. Apart from Bigg Boss, she was also a contestant on Colors TV reality show 'Fear Factor.'
Raageshwari Loomba: Raageshwari Loomba is an Indian singer, TV personality, and actress. Her solo song 'Duniya' was a massive hit in the 90s. She was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy in the year 2000. Apart from her singing, she has hosted many TV shows and has appeared in a few Bollywood movies as well.
Laxmi Narayan Tripathi: Born on 13th December 1978 in Thane Maharashtra, Laxmi Narayan Tripathi is a transgender rights activist and a Bharatanatyam dancer. In the year 2008, she became the first transgender to represent Asia in the United Nations. Laxmi is only transexual in the UN's Civil Society Task Force on HIV/AIDS. Her campaign group 'Astitva' works actively for LGBT rights.

Sunny Leone: Karenjit Kaur Vohra, well-known for her stage name 'Sunny Leone', is an Indian actress and a former pornstar. She made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with Pooja Bhatt's directorial 'Jism 2'. She was named Penthouse Pet of the Year 2003.
Siddharth Bhardwaj: Born on 3rd March 1987, Siddharth Bhardwaj is a model, actor, and a VJ. He participated and won MTV Splitsvilla season 2 with Sakshi Pradhan.
Amar Upadhyay: Amar Upadhyay is an Indian model and a TV actor. Amar is well-known for his role of Mihir Virani in Star Plus's TV soap 'Kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi…'. Apart from TV serials, Amar has also done a few Bollywood movies.

Andrew Symonds: Andrew Symonds is a former Australian cricket allrounder who was part of two times the World Cup winning team. In the inaugural edition of IPL (Indian Premier League) Andrew Symonds became the costliest foreign player in the auction and 2nd costliest in overall auctions, second only to Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
Yamamotoyama Ryūta: Yamamotoyama Ryūta is a retired Japanese Sumo wrestler. He was considered as the heaviest sumo wrestler in Japan history. Post-retirement, he was also seen in a Keanu Reeves Hollywood flick John Wick 2.
Swami Agnivesh: Swami Agnivesh is a social activist, former MLA, and an Indian Politician. He has been recognized for his works for bonded labor, he has also been in the center of few controversies. He faced opposition from Hindu groups for his remarks on Amarnath pilgrimage, Puri Jagannath Temple, and during Jan Lokpal protests in UPA's 2nd term.
